Table for 2 - Finca Allende Dinner

Finca Allende is the estate founded by the brother-and-sister team, Mercedes and Miguel Ángel de Gregorio, in the hilltop town of Briones, in Rioja Alta. The name “Allende” loosely translates as “beyond,” reflecting the estate’s ambition to push ever further in the pursuit of exceptional Rioja. Their approach combines tradition and modernity: they champion classic regional varieties while ageing the wines in predominantly new French oak. In addition to their concentration and structure, a defining feature of the top wines is their vineyard focus, with an emphasis on expressing the diverse terroirs of Rioja. 18+ only 7pm arrival time Please contact Kayleigh@chesilrectory.co.uk with dietary requirements before booking

A restaurant for the last 75 years, it was taken over in 2008 by the current team. The city of Winchester has played an important part throughout history. During Saxon times, King Alfred, who was crowned here in 871, made Winchester a royal city. It became the centre of Wessex, the capital of England and remained a royal residence for many centuries.
